Find Course Reserves
Student Quick Links
Instructional items that are expected to have heavy use by students in a class can be placed in Course Reserve in the library. These items are kept in a secured area and will have a shorter borrowing period (most can only be used in the library, though some may be borrowed overnight or a few days).
To get the Course Reserve for your class, go to the Check Out Desk and let our student workers know the following information:
- Your instructor's name
- Class you are in
To find what Course Reserve is available for your class, you can go to the library catalog’s Course Reserve to search for it (see image below).
Students may find articles on e-reserves through our secured Electronic Reserves. Before proceeding to the electronic reserves list, you must read and agree to the following copyright notice.
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to provide access to a copy or other reproduction. One of these specific conditions is that the copy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a copy or reproduction for purposes in excess of fair use, that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
